PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain tolerance of noise and to reduce variation in the rotating speed of a motor according to variation the torque. SOLUTION: This device comprises fine pinholes which transmit light, a pinhole disk 1 which has a light shield part cutting off light and is free to rotate, an optical detecting element 3 which detects the rotational state of the disk 1, a CCD camera 4 which picks up a confocal image of a sample transmitted through the pinholes, a brushless DC motor 2 which is fitted to the disk 1 and rotates the disk 1 at a specific rotating speed, and an FPGA 7 which generates a pulsating brake signal (d) having two values of a rotation suppression state and a nonsuppression state and outputs the brake signal (d) to the DC motor 2 while varying its pulse width to synchronize the rotational state of the disk 1 with the image pickup timing of the CCD camera 4.
