PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the quantity of archived information on the vector data on a polyline or a polygon by storing the vector data configuring the polyline or polygon as the information shown by the information which shows the connection sequence of the coordinates and vertexes of the polyline or polygon at every vertex. SOLUTION: A vector archive part 11 stores the vector data configuring a polyline consisting of plural segments connected to each other or a polygon as the archive information shown by the information which shows the connection sequence of plural coordinates and vertexes of the polyline or polygon at every vertex. When the information on a range to be displayed is given from an operator, a vector retrieval means 13 retrieves the necessary vertex coordinate data out of the vertex coordinate data 12 which are saved at the part 11. A segment information acquisition means 14 converts the retrieved vertex coordinate data into the data on the necessary segment start and end points, and these converted data are sent to a vector data display part 15.
