PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image reader with a simple configuration, capable of reading both an image recorded on a film and photographed data. SOLUTION: A film F placed on a tray 12 is carried intermittently in the A direction by a motor 56. When the tray 12 stops, light is emitted from a light source 22, and a film F is irradiated with the light in a live shape via a cylindrical lens 24. A line sensor 30 reads an image recorded on an image recording area S1 of the film F and two-dimensional code data recorded on a data recording area D1 between perforations P. A signal, which includes image data corresponding to the image and photographed data corresponding to the two-dimensional code data, is read from the sensor 30 and outputted to a personal computer, and the image and photographed information are shown on a display device.
