CARTRIDGE COVER OPENING/CLOSING MECHANISM FOR CAMERA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cartridge cover opening/closing mechanism whose knob member is easily operated and by which a cartridge cover is opened with a small operating force by attaching the knob member to the corner part of a camera main body in a freely rockable state. SOLUTION: The knob member 40 for opening the cartridge cover 30 is attached to the corner part 39 between the back 2A and the base 2B of the camera main body 2. The member 40 formed to be L-shaped is formed in a recessed part, which is formed in the corner part 39, in such size that it does not project from the recessed part. The member 40 is provided to freely rock with a pin attached to the corner part 39 of the main body 2 as a supporting point. By turning the member 40 counterclockwise, a lock mechanism is released and the cover 30 is opened. Since the member 40 has a lever function, the lock releasing operation of the lock mechanism can be performed with a small force.
