PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently separate a foreign matter from recycled toner and to enhance recycling rate in the case of recovering toner remaining on a photoreceptor and reusing it after removing the foreign matter. SOLUTION: In this method, an image is formed by providing a recovery stage to recover the residual toner remaining on the photoreceptor after a transfer stage, a foreign matter removing stage to obtain recycled toner by removing the foreign matter from the recovered residual toner, and a reusing stage to reuse the recycled toner as the toner for a developing stage. In such a case, a foreign matter removing means 40 carries the recovered residual toner to the inside of a mesh cylinder 41, and the cylinder 41 is axially rotated and vibrated, whereby the recycled toner is sieved out to the outside of the cylinder 41 so as to separate the foreign matter from the recycled toner. |
