METHOD FOR OPERATING EXTENSION TELEPHONE SET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a client to control each of extension telephone sets in a desired way from a display menu of its own client unit. SOLUTION: Each display menu of a client unit 4 displays a newest state of each of extension telephone sets 3 collected from an exchange 1 via a server 2 as telephone icons at positions on the menu corresponding to actual positions of the telephone sets 3. In this state, when an operation is made to a telephone set 3 on the display menu, the client unit 4 transfers the operation command to the exchange 1 via the server 2 as the operation command to the telephone set 3. Thus, the telephone set 3 can be controlled as desired on the display menu.
