PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a disk array system in which plural disk array devices can mutually execute cooperative operation. SOLUTION: Plural disk array devices 11 to 13 mutually realize cooperative operation through a 2nd interface included in an interface part 17. Namely when the disk array device 11, 12 or 13 specified by a command transmitted from any one of servers A to C on the basis of the 1st interface can not receive the processing of the command, the disk array device capable of receiving the processing of the command is selected from plural disk array devices 11 to 13 and the selected disk array device is requested to execute the processing of the command as a substitute.
