PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption and to enable communicating operation by activating an apparatus on the side of reception at suitable timing by providing a control means or the like for activating the apparatus into communicative state at least by turning on a power source switch means when light sent from transmission side apparatus is detected. SOLUTION: When power source operation is detected as any operation due to a user, a CPU 10 turns on a main power source switch 14 and turns the apparatus into main power source ON state. The CPU 10 itself is activated from a standby state without fail. Thus, the operation of communication with another node is enabled by controlling a communication system 2 or execution of main operation can be controlled by controlling a main operating part 11. Besides, when the start of light transmission from the other apparatus (node #0) is detected by an O/E part 18 to which power is intermittently supplied in the standby state, the CPU 10 turns on the main power source switch 14 and activates the apparatus. |
