PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately perform a fire processing even in the case that the actual kind of a fire sensor is different from the kind of the fire sensor registered in a table beforehand when a fire receiver receives the monitoring data of a fire level from the fire sensor. SOLUTION: In this fire monitoring system, a fire receiver 1 performs polling in a prescribed cycle to the respective plural fire sensors S installed at appropriate parts inside a building and monitors the state of the fire sensors S on the basis of the monitoring data returned for it. In this case, the fire receiver 1 transmits kind confirmation signals to the prescribed number of the fire sensors S in a free period within one cycle of the polling and makes kind contents data returned instead of the monitoring data.
