PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection device for information capable of supplying power thereto from a joint box for the commercial main, easily performing moving, additional installation, etc., of OA apparatus, suppressing the maintenance and equipment cost by shortening the power cable, and enhancing reliability upon the wiring and the efficiency of execution of works. SOLUTION: A connection device 1 for information is connected with a joint box used in branching a power supply line in a plurality of branches. A power cable 9 is drawn out from a connector case 7, having a connection hole 5 where the information line is connected and incorporating an operational power supply to operate an information processing part. To the forefront of the power cable 9, a power supply plug 12 is installed, which is removably connected with a connector for commercial power supplies mounted on the joint box 2 and furnished with a locking means 11 to prevent slipping off from the connector for commercial power supplies.
