<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress reflection of external light on the interfaces of a liquid crystal panel and members and to obtained a liquid crystal display device, having high brightness and high contrast by filling the space between the liquid crystal panel and a touch panel or the space formed between various kinds of members laminated in the liquid crystal panel with a material, having almost the same refractive index as that of the members. SOLUTION: A space which forms an air layer, such as the space between a liquid crystal panel and a touch panel 12, the space between the touch panel 12 and a light-transmission plate of a panel type auxiliary illuminating device, the space between the light-transmission body of an auxiliary illuminating device and an optical film 11, is filled with a substance 14 having almost the same refractive index as that of the materials in contact with through the interface. For example, when the refractive indices of the glass substrate of the touch panel 12 and the optical film 11 are about 1.5 and about 1.6, respectively, the refractive index of the silicon resin 14 to fill the space is controlled to 1.55, which is almost in the middle between these refractive indices. The distance between the optical film 11 and the touch panel 12 is 0.2 to 0.3 mm, and the silicon resin 14 is supplied by using an air dispenser.</p> |
