INTER-SATELLITE POWER TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relieve a satellite which is under a bad electric power condition due to its position on the shade side of the earth by supplying electric power to the satellite. SOLUTION: The electric power shortage of a satellite flying along the near-by orbit which is about 4,000 km away from the earth is solved by transmitting electric power to the satellite by using an electromagnetic wave. In this case, the power transmitting satellite transmits part of DC power generated from a solar battery 1 to the satellite through a plane antenna 4 by generating a high power RF(radio frequency) by using a semiconductor amplifier 2. The power receiving satellite receives the RF with a plane antenna 5 and immediately obtains DC power by rectifying the RF by means of a rectifier 6.
