PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate troublesome operation that a user is forced to do by accepting a user indication for recording and transferring a telephone talk and transferring a message to a transfer-destination telephone set when the indication is accepted. SOLUTION: Respective constitution elements in a telephone set 10 are controlled to record a telephone talk or user's voice as a message (transfer message) to be listened to by the other user according to a user's indication during a telephone call or a wait time, and the transfer message is transferred to the telephone set of the other user. Off-hook operation is done in response to a call from the other telephone set to record a transferred message, which is reproduced according to a user's reproduction indication. The transfer message and transferred message are written to a memory 3 and also read out of the memory 3. The telephone set 10 writes and reads an automatic answering message to and out of the memory 3.
