PURPOSE: A two-line type communications device of a multi-type air conditioner is provided to resolve complication of installation and reduce the cost of materials by performing communications with two-line type power supply lines, wherein the erroneous connection of lines is removed since the power supply line is nonpolar. CONSTITUTION: A two-line type communications device of a multi-type air conditioner includes power supply circuit parts(12,22,32) connected to indoor and outdoor units by nonpolar two-line type power supply lines and supplying driving power to the indoor and outdoor units, transmitting and receiving circuit parts(13,23,33) connected to the nonpolar two-line type power supply lines of the power supply circuit part for converting data to pulse signals to be loaded on AC voltage thereby performing transmitting and receiving of data via the nonpolar two-line type power supply lines, and microcomputers(11,21,31) for controlling operations of the indoor and outdoor units according to the data received via the transmitting and receiving circuit part.
