The chair has a support unit (1) and a seat underlay (2), which is movably connected to the support unit, and adapted to support a human bottom. The seat underlay comprises a support structure (3), which is connected to the support unit, and a seat part (4), which has at least two bearing units, enabling the seat to move freely, with respect to the support unit. Independent claims are included for a method to drive and operate the chair, to adjust its position, and a method to detect seating movement and adjustment, to operate the chair.
