The wiper unit has a wiper arm (18) with fixed support shoulders (68), and a wiper blade (10) with opposite stop shoulder (62). At least one of the shoulders can be moved by a return force completely out of the position opposite to the other shoulder. The arm-mounted shoulder is located on the arm-sided coupling part (22), the blade-sided shoulder is located on the blade-sided coupling part (16) of a connection device (14) between arm and blade.
