The headlamp system has at least two headlamps that emit light beams with upper light-dark boundaries with different sections (84,94;84,95) on either side, whereby the section on the off side is lower and the near side section rises starting from the intersection with the off side. The two headlamps emit beams with different light/dark boundaries (94,95), whereby the near side section of one rises more than that of the other.
