PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing a game character using the internet are provided so that a user can enjoy a game with a desired game character by selecting game characters freely and updating a game program. CONSTITUTION: A system for providing a game character using the internet is composed of an internet server(4) wherein a database(2) storing various characters(10) is configured and a plurality of game machines(6) wherein game programs are installed to add or modify game characters(10) according to the selection of gamers. The characters are loaded on the internet site configured in the server(4). A user downloads a desired character by selecting the character after accessing the internet site. Each game machine(6) comprises a storage device to store the downloaded character. |
