<p>A system is described which incorporates a code generator to create a unique identifying code (UMID), a watermark generator for inserting the UMID into the audio / video stream, and a signature generator for deriving a signature from the audio / video material. In preferred embodiments, the UMID identifies the material and/or ownership and it is stored (with the signature) in a database.</p> |
