PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce energy consumption by inserting and connecting a steering torque detecting device in/to a power transmitting means connecting between a steering wheel and steered wheels, and driving an electric motor for driving a hydraulic use pump mechanically connected to an oil hydraulic pump by a detection signal from the steering torque detecting device. SOLUTION: A steering wheel 1 arranged in the upward of a car body and an orbit roll 2 are connected by a steering shaft 3, also a steering torque detecting device 4 is inserted midway of the steering shaft 3. An output signal of the steering torque detector device 4 is applied to a control device 22 controlling a hydraulic use pump driving electric motor 23 to be rotated, a control signal driving the hydraulic use pump driving electric motor 23 rotated is transmitted from the control device 22. A current flows in the control device 22, reaction force generated by steering the steering wheel 1 is detected by the steering torque detector device 4, and the hydraulic use pump driving electric motor 23 is chopper controlled in proportion to magnitude of necessary assist force. In this way, energy consumption can be reduced. |
