摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reasonable and economical stabilizing method by thrusting and immersing a solid body such as a concrete block from the interior of a machine disposed in a cave into the surrounding ground having small ground strength and a small frictional force. SOLUTION: A solid body 3 is thrust and immersed from the interior of a machine in a tunnel cave 1 into the surrounding ground 2. The solid body 3 is constituted of a concrete block or excavated muck. When the concrete block is employed, it may have a head cap such as a sharp-angular metallic material attached to the front end thereof. Immersion is carried out by applying an external force to the solid body 3 by a jack, a driving force, or the like. The thrust depth of the solid body 3 depends on conditions of the surrounding ground 2. Thus, binding strength between soil particles of the surrounding ground 2 can be increased to form a reinforcing zone, and the tunnel can be stably held with respect to earth pressure. Therefore, even if conditions of the natural ground is poor, the entire excavated cross section can be effectively used, and the amount of excavated muck to be carried out of the tunnel can be reduced, which leads to efficient work.
