PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stockings where sewn and joined parts of tiptoes do not stand out and a wear feeling is excellent when being worn in tubular knitting- type stockings knitted using a circular knitting hosiery machine. SOLUTION: The stockings are knitted so as for sewn and joined parts 1 of tiptoes to be located at the underside space of toes when being worn. The stockings are knitted so as for the stretchability of the sole parts of the stockings to be smaller than that of the instep parts 4. The stretchability difference enables the parts 1 to be located at the underside space of toes, and is attained by knitting the sole part with smaller knitted stitches 5 than that in the instep parts 4.
