PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a para-aromatic polyamide fiber paper excellent in mechanical properties and thermal characteristics, and provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This method for producing an aromatic polyamide fiber paper is characterized by using a fine fiber obtained by fibril-forming a par-based aromatic polyamide fiber, also dispersing the para-based aromatic polyamide pulp having <=10 ml water filtration degree measured based on JIS P-8121 (Canadian standard type) in water or dispersing the para-based aromatic polyamide fiber pulp with at least one kind selected from the para-based aromatic polyamide pulp having 50-600 ml water filtration degree and a para-based aromatic polyamide short fiber in water, then performing a paper-making, dehydrating or dehydrating and drying, then performing a heating and compressing treatments at 100-500 deg.C temperature condition and under 20-500 Kg/cm2 pressure condition.
