PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a molding method for obtaining a extrusion molded product with a width-thickness ratio of 0.2 or more used under a condition wherein large load is also applied in the direction crossing an extruding direction at a right angle and the extrusion molded product produced by this molding method. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a molded product by passing a compsn. consisting of a thermoplastic resin and a fibrous reinforcing material through a molding die and a sizing die to mold the same, the molding die is a die having a diffusion type cavity expanded toward an outlet opening part and split in its thickness direction by a slit (herein after, referred to as a slitted diffusion die on according to circumstances) and the molten resin extruded from the slitted diffusion die is rapidly cooled and solidified.
