PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition without requiring pretreatment and excellent in balance, etc., of braking performances with low fuel consumption performances at a low cost without using an expensive silane coupling agent by adding a hydroxyl group-containing liquid diene-based polymer, a silica powder and a carbon black to a diene-based solid rubber. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by adding (B) 0.05-30 pts.wt. of a hydroxyl group-containing liquid diene-based polymer, (C) 10-150 pts.wt. of a silica powder and (D) 0-150 pts.wt. of a carbon black to (A) 100 pts.wt. of a cross-linkable diene-based solid rubber (e.g. a natural rubber). The content of hydroxyl groups in the component B is preferably 0.2-10.0 mequivalents/g and the number-average molecular weight thereof is preferably 300-10,000. The average particle diameter of the component C is preferably 20-500μm. The composition is preferably used in any one or more kinds of materials for tire treads, side treads and under treads.
