PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bobbin holder switching device provided with a mechanism for exactly stopping a bobbin holder performing a winding work at a prescribed position at the time of switching the bobbin holder, in spun yarn winding machine. SOLUTION: In a bobbin holder switching device 19 for a spun yarn winding machine, a positioning device 31 for regulating a rotating and stopping position of a turret plate 10 is provided and a pushing device 5 for pushing the turret plate 10 and rotating and moving the plate 10 is provided. The positioning device 31 and a positioning groove 10a are constituted so that an engagement degree of a positioning roller 33 of the positioning device 31 and the positioning groove 10a of the turret plate 10 may be increased as the turret plate 10 is rotated in a rotating and driving direction.
