PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preventing wire thinning and disconnection at the time of continuously annealing wire. SOLUTION: This device is constituted of a tension roll 7 installed on an entrance side of a strand type wire annealing furnace 1, a detector 11 for detecting the presence or absence of rotation of the tension roll 7 and a control device 12 controlling a winding machine 3 installed on an exit side of the strand type wire annealing furnace 1 by an output signal from the detector 11.
