<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument panel that can reduce the weight of an air bag unit for a passenger seat. SOLUTION: An instrument panel is composed of a plastic upper panel 70 disposed on the surface side, and a plastic core panel 100 which is coupled to the rear side of the upper panel and having a shape maintaining property. The core panel 100 is provided with a case part 103 having an opening 104 that is opened in the direction that the air bag goes out, and accommodating a folded air bag 33 for the passenger's seat and an inflator 35 that supplies expansion gas to the air bag. The upper panel 70, covering the case part 103, is provided with door parts 74, 75 to be opened by pushing by the air bag when it is inflated.</p> |
