PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous ink which is excellent in storage stability, causing no clogging and no capping phenomenone of head meniscus, and in water resistance of a record image while requiring no special apparatus by compounding a specified amount of a condensate of two specific compounds and/or a polymer containing the condensate as structural units. SOLUTION: A condensate of a compound of formula I and a compound of formula II and/or a polymer containing the condensate as structural units is compounded in an amount of 0.1-15 wt.% based on the total wt. of the ink. In formula I, R is H or an alkyl; X is H, potassium, sodium or lithium; and m and n are each an integer of 3-9. In formula II, R1 to R5 are each H, formyl, carboxy or (substituted) alkyl. Preferably, the ink further contains a basic compound, preferably an organic basic compound or ammonia. |
