COMPOSITION OF AQUEOUS DISPERSION OF FLUOROPOLYMER WITH AQUEOUS DISPERSION OF ETHYLENE/ACID COPOLYMER OR IONOMER BASED COPOLYMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition giving fine powder which can homogeneously be distributed in a host material without causing coagulation, deformation or early fibrillation, by mixing a fluoropolymer with an aqueous dispersion of an ethylene copolymer. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) 0.5-99.5 wt.% of a fluoropolymer (preferably polytetrafluoroethylene) having an average particle diameter of 0.01-30μm and (B) the aqueous dispersion of 0.5-99.5 wt.% of an ethylenic copolymer (preferably ethylene/acrylic acid or the like) which is produced from (i) at least 50 wt.% of ethylene, (ii) 1-35 wt.% of an acid-containing unsaturated monocarboxylic acid and (iii) 0-49 wt.% of at least one component selected from an alkyl acylate, an alkyl methacrylate, a vinyl ether, carbon monoxide and sulfur dioxide and in which 0-100% of the acidic groups are neutralized with a metal ion or one or more other cations.
