PURPOSE: To automatically splice two web ends of packaging paper by constituting the device in such a way that respective rollers carry a knife and a first elastic lining part is held in the forward position in the rotary direction of the knife and a second lining part is held at a position deviated by 180 deg.C against the first lining part to press each other during the rotation of rollers. CONSTITUTION: A pair of cooperating change-over rollers 9 are equipped with a knife 11 and two lining parts 12, 13 made of an elastic material. One of these lining part is installed to face the rotary direction 14 of the roller 9 at the front part of the knife and the other is arranged at a position deviated by about 180 deg.C from the said part in the peripheral direction of the roller 9. A clamp piece 17 is moved to a clamp position by the drive of a cam 28 to immediately clamp a web 29. In this constant, two webs 29, 30 are clamped between the lining part 12 of one changeover roller 9 and the lining part 13 of the other changeover roller 9 and fixed to each other through an adhesive tape 32 by the pressing force of the lining parts 12, 13 having elasticity. And further, the knife 11 of one changeover roller 9 is brought into contact with the web 29 to cut it and then the end of web 29 is connected to a start end of a new web 30. |
