PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an ink jet recording composition for an ink jet recording body demonstrating simultaneously high water resistance and high ink absorbability and also manufacture an ink jet recording body of resolution, high water resistance and low viscosity and simultaneously of superior grossiness and storage stability, in which the composition is used. SOLUTION: A resin composition for an ink jet recording body is constituted of a copolymer manufactured by copolymerizing a polymeric component containing at least one kind out of a betaine monomer A represented by the formula (In the formula, R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl, R2 represents a C1-4 alkylene and R3 and R4 represents a C1-4 alkyl respectively and individually.) and a monomer B having one ethylene unsaturated double bond copolymerizable with the betaine monomer A, and an ink jet recording body is provided with an ink acceptive layer composed of a resin composition for the ink jet recording body and formed on a substrate. |
