PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform steering wheel operation with a guide display of a monitor screen serving as the reference so that a vehicle can be easily moved reversely to a desired position, in reversing on an S-shaped curve. SOLUTION: This steering support device 10 is provided with a camera 2, monitor 4, steering angle sensor 9, obstacle sensor 6, image processor 11, controller 12, and a controller 13 for monitor. The image processor 11 calculates an estimated locus of a vehicle at reversing time at a steering angleαin the point of present time, a guide display showing a standard of a car width based on the estimated locus is superposed on an image of the camera 2 in a prescribed position corresponding to the then steering angleα, to be displayed in a screen of the monitor 4. The guide display has a line segment of car width length in a position of almost wheel base length from a rear bumper in a screen of the monitor 4, of the estimated locus of the vehicle in reversing at the steering angleαin the point of this time.
