PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dish washing and drying machine reducing a time for washing. SOLUTION: In the case of starting washing, a water level is set to be low. Then, whether a prescribed time has passed or not is judged. When the prescribed time has passed, whether a water level is at an upper limit or not is checked. If it does not amount to the upper limit, a prescribed quantity of water is poured. This prescribed amount is previously decided and whether poured water amounts to the prescribed amount is judged by grasping the increase of the water level by the output of the water gauge 20. When the water level is at the upper limit in the case of not amounting to the prescribed time yet, water is not poured. Next, whether a washing time has passed or not is judged to return when it has not passed yet but to finish a washing process when it has already passed. The washing time can be reduced since a detergent can be activated at an early stage since the quantity of washing water is small and a temperature is raised early at a primary stage.
