PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure delivery of paper sheets to a back stream side without causing jamming of the sheets held and carried between endless belts, if hung down or bent. SOLUTION: A paper sheet carrying device has at least two endless belts wound between pulleys and disposed opposite to each other for holding paper sheets, which are wider than a gap between the outside edges of the disposed endless belts, between the opposed faces of the endless belts to carry the paper sheets with the rotationally movement of the pulleys. A paper sheet guide 13 as a guide member for delivery of the paper sheets to the back stream side is provided near the pulleys at the exit ends of the endless belts. The paper sheet guide 13 has guide arms 16, 16 extending from the outside edges of the plural pairs of disposed endless belts to the entry side of the paper sheets along the outside edges of the endless belts and located where their ends are laid on the opposite faces to the faces of the endless belts to be carried at the upstream side in the carrying direction of the paper sheets.
