PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject nutrient material capable of providing a high yield in mushroom bed artificial cultivation of Gifola frondosa S. F. Gray by mixing two kinds of specific by-products and forming the nutrient material. SOLUTION: This nutrient material is formed by mixing a bean hull with a bean-curd refuse. The mushroom bed artificial cultivation of Gifola frondosa S. F. Gray can be carried out by using the nutrient material formed by using the bean hull and the bean-curd refuse. At this time, the ratio of the bean hulls to the bean-curd refuse is preferably (8:1) to (4:4). One or more kinds of the group consisting of sawdust, a corncob, a cottonseed hull and a waste log of the mushroom log cultivation and a waste mushroom bed of the mushroom bed cultivation can be used as a culture medium support in the mushroom bed artificial cultivation of the Gifola frondosa S. F. Gray.
