PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce respective video and audio signals as a stereoscopic video image with high resolution by using a plurality of video cameras and a sound pickup microphone to supervise a supervisory range and recording simultaneously the respective signals when they detect a fault. SOLUTION: Compression means 16, 17, 18 compress signals from video cameras 10, 11 and a sound pickup microphone 12 respectively and a recording means 21 records them on a DVD 22. A reproduction means 23 reproduces left and right eye video signals on the DVD 22 and an expansion means expands the reproduced signals, and a stereoscopic display monitor 29 displays a stereoscopic video image through a liquid crystal display shutter 28. The compressed main video signal and sub video signal are alternately recorded as an interleave unit with nearly the same size of a group of picture GOP in compliance with the MPEG standards. |
