PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of character scattering and defective transfer, and to obtain a stable transferred image by moving a corona discharging electrode by a moving member so that a transfer starting position where a charge starts to be applied on a recording medium may be fixed at a specified position. SOLUTION: A block 76 is moved by rotating two machine screws 80 and 82. The screw 80 is inserted into the base wall 76a of the block 76, and by rotating the screw 80, the block 76 is moved in a far-and-near direction (direction shown by an arrow C). Thus, by rotating the screw 80 so as to move the block 76 in the far-and-near direction, a corona transfer wire 64 is also moved in the far-and-near direction. The screw 82 is inserted into the side wall 76b on the upstream side of the block 76 in the recording medium carrying direction, and by rotating the screw 82, the block 76 is moved in a direction (direction shown by an arrow D) orthogonal to the far-and-near direction. Thus, by rotating the screw 82 so as to move the block 76 in the orthogonal direction, the corona transfer wire 64 is also moved in the orthogonal direction.
