PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output device which collects and outputs the prescribed information on a network and also can automatically and directly transmit these collected information in facsimile. SOLUTION: This output device collects the hypertext data existing at a prescribed position of an external server at a prescribed time by a core part 109 via a network I/F part 108 and stores these collected data in a hypertext data store part 105. Then these stored data are converted at a FAX format part 106 into the image data of a type such as an MH or MMR code that can be transmitted in FAX and supplied to a FAX transmitting part 107. The part 107 transmits the received image data to a prescribed transmitting destination in FAX.
