<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record a reserved designated program in a complete form as much as possible despite the occurrence of a fault by retrieving a prescribed pre- broadcast program and/or re-broadcast program and then trying preliminarily the recording of an extracted pre-broadcast program and/or a re-broadcast program in response to the trial recording of the reserved designated program. SOLUTION: When a pre-broadcast program, i.e., a program where the identifier of a program group is coincident with the identifier of a sequence is retrieved and extracted, the recording of this program is tried. When this recording is normally over and the broadcasting of a reserved designated program starts, the recording of the favorite reserved designated program is tried. Then it's decided whether the recording is possible in regard to a fact whether a pre-broadcast program is normally recorded. If this recording and the recording of the pre-broadcast program are normally over, a series of reserved recording processes are over. When a user instructs the reproduction of the reserved designated program, a normally recorded pre-broadcast program is reproduced in place of the favorite reserved designated program whose reserved recording is failed.</p> |
