PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor system where information specific to a sensor for communication between the sensor and a controller can be set to the controller. SOLUTION: A sensor 10 stores its own interface program and gives the interface program to a controller 20 via a network 30. The controller up-loads the interface program for the sensor received from the sensor and accesses the sensor in an optimum operation environment by using the acquired interface program. However, since the interface program has only to be downloaded via the network, it can simply be executed.
