PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent overdischarging of battery pack by forecasting overdischarging. SOLUTION: This overdischarging preventer of a battery pack detects the voltage Vn of each battery of a battery pack constituted by connecting a plurality of batteries in series (step S104), and obtains the lowest voltage Vmin (step S106, and also obtains the maximum drop rate dVmax and sets a threshold Vβ(step S112). Since the threshold Vβis one being set as a value for forecasting the battery becoming overcharged within a specified time, if the battery of the voltage under the value drops in voltage at a maximum drop rate dVmax, this preventer decides that the overdischarging is forecast, when the lowest voltage Vmin is under the threshold Vβ(step S114), and stops the supply of power from the battery pack (step S116). As a result, this prevents a battery constituting the battery pack from becoming overdischarged.
