PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a color filter by using a back exposure having a flattening layer for filling up irregularities between pixels without executing precise positioning, and a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: Concerning this manufacturing method of a color filter and this liquid crystal display device, in the manufacturing method of a color filter for forming a transparent flattening layer for filling up recess parts between pixels by forming a three or morecolored pixel part by an electrochemical method on a substrate having a transparent conductive thin film where pattern forming is executed, and thereafter by coating a photo-curing transparent photosensitive resin on the whole surface and drying it, and by exposing (back exposing) from a non-coated surface without the aid of a photomask, and by developing and curing it, the development process is executed by a development condition stronger than a development condition of the photosensitive resin in the normal case of exposing from the coated face through a photomask. |
