PURPOSE:To obtain an optical switch of a simple constitution, by forming an elastically deformed piece by giving a cut to cut a photoelectric path with a high refractive index which is formed in a sheet with a low refractive index. CONSTITUTION:A high molecular sheet 5 with a high refractive index which is cured by the ultraviolet ray irradiation is set onto a sheet 1 with a low refractive index which does not transmit the light. The sheet 5 is masked with a negative pattern 6, and the ultraviolet rays 7 are irradiated on the sheet 5. Thus only the unmasked area of the sheet is cured, and the uncured area is removed to form a photoelectric path 2. Then the sheet 1 is added to cover the path 2 to obtain a sheet, and a channel-shaped cut 3 is given to cut the path 2 from the sheet 1. Thus an elastically deformed piece 4 is formed at the inside of the sheet. As a result, the light arrived from one side of the path 2 is not intercepted at the cut 3 and then goes out through the other side as long as no force is applied to the piece 4. Thus an optical switch is turned on. When the force is applied to the piece 4, the path 2 becomes discontinuous at the cut 3. Thus the optical switch is turned off. |
