PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method which does not substantially apply oil for release to a fixing member, enhances the peelability of a toner image from this member, obviates a toner offset and paper jam and has excellent fixability. SOLUTION: This image forming method includes a developing stage, a transfer stage and a fixing stage. The release agent to be included in toners is incorporated therein at 1 to 20 wt.% of the toners. The contact type fixing device used in the fixing stage does not substantially use the oil for release and has a peeling assistance member. The toner weight per unit area in an image region of an image area rate 100% of the transferred image formed by the monochromatic toners is specified to <=0.60×10-3 g/cm2 and the toner satisfying the equation are used. In the equation, S denotes a fixing rate (mm/s); R denotes a length (mm) in the non-image part at the front end; T1 denotes a toner weight (g/cm2) and γ denotes the specific gravity (g/cm3) of the toners. |
