PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always obtain proper finger (RAKE) synthesis in response to an in-zone position of a terminal station and a communication environment with respect to a radio communication unit. SOLUTION: In this radio communication unit, each finger applies the Hadamard transform to each signal received and demodulated through a multi- path by using an M series orthogonal code stream to obtain correlation values E11-E1n between the codes, the correlation value outputs of the fingers yielding significant correlation values are individually synthesized to demodulate a received signal on the basis of maximum correlation values E1, E2,... or En. The communication unit is provided with an arithmetic section that obtains the difference between a maximum correlation value MXE and a 2nd higherst correlation value NXE of the fingers and a lock control section that locks each of the correlation values E11-E1n or the like of the fingers when an output (MXE-NXE) of the arithmetic section is equal to a prescribed threshold value th or over. While the quality of the received signal (Eb/N0) is excellent, there is a proper difference between the maximum correlation value MXE and the 2nd highest correlation value NXE and proper finger synthesis is conducted on the basis thereof. |
