PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone provided with voice recognizing electronic calculator which enables its electronic calculator function to input an operation code in voice. SOLUTION: The operator of this portable telephone inputs a number to be operated with numeric keys of a key input part 3 and then input, an operation code in voice through a microphone 5. The operation code inputted in voice is supplied to a voice recognizing circuit 6, which judges that the inputted voice is which operation code. Then the number inputted with the numeric key and the judged operation code are displayed on a display 2. The operator inputs a 2nd number and inputs '=' in voice, and then a control part 7 performs calculation, so that the result is displayed on the display 2.
