PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make desired fellow optical connector plugs connectable. SOLUTION: This adaptor for an optical connector for connecting optically disconnectably fellow optical connector plugs provided with a ferrule for fixing an end part of an optical fiber is provided with the first and second receptacle housings 30, 10 having, in their one-end sides respectively, coupling parts 33, 13 of a shape capable of coupling the prescribed optical connector plugs to be freely decoupled, and having reference faces 31, 11 in the other ends, a coupling cylindrical body 40 held freely rotatably inside the coupling part 33 of the first receptacle housing 30 and built-in with a sleeve engaged with the ferrule from both sides, a male screw part 44 provided in an outer circumference of the cylindrical body 40, and a female screw part 14 provided in a side contrary to a coupling end coupled with the optical connector plug of the coupling part 13 of the second receptacle housing 10 to be tightened with the male screw part 44. The male screw part 44 and the female screw part 14 are tightened removably in a condition where the first and second housings 30, 10 contact closely with the reference faces 31, 11.
