COMMUNICATION UNIT AND ITS METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the capacity of a memory device managed by a CPU and to relieve the load on the CPU. SOLUTION: This communication unit has a CPU 3, and a memory device 5 and a recording medium 7 with a large capacity managed by the CPU 3. A reception packet analysis section 13 separates received packet data into a header part and a data part. A data separation section 17 separates the data part into control data and non-control data. The data separation section 17 transfers the control data to the memory device 5 via a data transfer interface 12 and a data analysis section 4. The data separation section 17 transfers the non-control data to a data transfer controller 6. The data transfer controller 6 transfers the non-control data to the the large capacity recording medium 7.
