INDUCTIVE LOAD DRIVE CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect open failures of a circulating current line which includes open failures of a flywheel diode during drive control of an inductive load. SOLUTION: This inductive load drive circuit has a flywheel diode 4 connected in parallel to an inductive load 1 and constituting a circulating current line, a drive terminal voltage monitoring circuit 6 having a peak hold function for detecting the terminal voltage of an inductive load drive terminal 3, and a failure detecting circuit for detecting the open failures of the circulating current line from the output value of the circuit 6.
